Why this source matters
MoorOfUS uses this source to keep medieval knowledge claims attached to manuscripts, authors, fields, and catalogued evidence rather than broad slogans about "Moorish science." It helps frame science as documented transmission and manuscript culture.

The database is a research tool. It does not imply that every medieval scientific work was Andalusi, Moorish, or North African, and it should not be used to claim universal ownership of scientific achievements.
