Advertising Disclosure
MoorOfUS does not allow advertising to determine editorial conclusions, source selection, corrections, or the site’s evidence-first mission.
Public advertising is disabled until approval and implementation review. If advertising is enabled, ads or sponsored placements must remain visually separate from editorial records and must not appear as source evidence.
Editorial independence
MoorOfUS records are written and reviewed under the site’s editorial standards. Advertising, sponsorship, or affiliate arrangements cannot convert unsupported claims into evidence.
Ad placement standard
If advertising is approved later, placements must not interrupt source trails in a way that makes ads look like citations, editorial conclusions, or recommended evidence. Advertising must stay visually and structurally separate from article body text, source cards, claim-status notes, correction notices, and privacy or safe-sharing guidance.
Reader trust
MoorOfUS will not trade evidence quality for ad inventory. Pages that are too thin, too uncertain, or too dependent on unsupported claims should be deepened, noindexed, or revised before they are treated as search-facing publication surfaces. Advertising review is therefore connected to the same standards used for corrections, sources, privacy, and editorial independence.
Current status
Public display ad rendering remains disabled until approval and placement review are complete. The site may discuss AdSense in policy language, but it should not show empty ad slots, ad placeholders, display units, or unfinished monetization surfaces to readers.
Sponsorship and source review
If MoorOfUS ever accepts sponsorship, sponsored relationships must be disclosed where relevant and must not control source selection. A sponsor cannot ask the site to publish an unsupported historical conclusion, suppress a correction, promote a private identity claim, or remove caution language from a sensitive page. Sponsored support also cannot move a noindexed claim or source record into the sitemap.
Affiliate and product language
If affiliate links are added later, they must be labeled and kept separate from evidence. A book, archive, museum record, image collection, or tool may be recommended only when it helps readers inspect the source trail or understand the topic. Commercial usefulness is not the same as evidentiary strength.
Review before activation
Before any public advertising activation, MoorOfUS should review page layout, privacy wording, consent requirements, mobile placement, content density, and source context. The review should confirm that ads do not crowd policy pages, correction pages, source records, claim-status notes, or sensitive identity-related content.
